Employment

Upon successful completion of the credits, a student can advance on the career ladder under DHS Rule 3. Employment opportunities continue to be many and varied.

Careers

Graduates from this program will have taken the required number of credits to qualify for a teacher in a child care setting, and meet the NCLB requirements for paraprofessionals. Career options are also available with Head Start, Preschools, Montessori schools, School Age programs, and Family Child Care.


Possible Job Titles

Preschool Teacher, Nursery School Teacher, Head Start Teacher, School District Aide, Child Development Assistant, or Childcare Provider (family or center-based)
